Extravagant Europeans can expect to shell out 600 Euros for the phone and 299 Euros for the Link. For you and me this translates to $761.40 USD for the phone and $379.43 for the Link, OUCH!

During a recent trip to South Korea, Steve Ballmer, Microsofts CEO, signed a preliminary agreement with LG Inc., to work together on mobile technology.
Samsung Electronics on the same day announced the launch of the domestic version of the Omnia touch screen handset model, based on Microsofts Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. Microsoft hopes its Windows Mobile operating system continues to challenge Symbian, a platform backed by top-notch Nokia and used in two-thirds of smartphones. Research in Motion and Apple Incs iPhone are also growing threats to Symbian, while several manufacturers are planning or have started to roll out smartphones based on Googles Android software.
This being only one of the deals that Microsoft signed in South Korea. Microsoft and Hyundai auto group opened a research centre to develop new IT products and services for automotive application. Technologies developed at the centre would be applied in their cars from the second half of 2010.

Avian Research LLC carried out a monthly retail store survey which polled 100 service representatives at different retail stores to see what devices were most popular out of the four major carriers in the US. I can only remind you that this is mainly a popularity and not a sales poll. Also, when you narrow it down to the four major carriers in the US, only one of them carries the iPhone which actually makes the iphones #2 spot impressive. RIM came in at #1, which Avian thinks that it did, because of a promotional sale on the Curve at Sprint Nextel stores for the month of September. Most of the top 10 were also smartphones and LG also surprised us with the most handsets on the list. Check out the full list here and see what the fuss is all about.

It will measure only 13.95 mm. The phone will offer latest multimedia features besides an intuitive user interface. These features are advanced compared to the features of LG Viewty said the company.LG-KC910 is expected to be a multi-sensorial experience from LG providing enhanced viewing, better sound quality and more convenient use of touch. The 8 megapixel camera of the LG-KC910 is being developed such that it will include a Schneider-Kreuznach certified optics, a xenon flash and ISO sensitivity up to 1600. I have to admit that as an iPhone user the best thing about the device is probably the visual voicemail feature. If you have never experienced this if you dont use an Apple iPhone or the Samsung Instinct dont worry.
Other carriers & handset makers are slowly getting in on the action. Verizon announced that it will start making Visual Voicemail available for the LG Voyager for only $2.99 extra per month. If you own a Voyager you need to get this. Its a total no-brainer. Trust me!

The LG Dare over on Verizon Wireless is on sale right now for $199.99, we will chat about that in a moment. Is this the phone that you will buy rather than the iPhone and Samsung Instinct? Sprint has the Samsung Instinct, AT&T has the Apple iPhone and now Verizon Wireless has the LG Dare, we are talking state side here people. Ok in the title we said “iPhone, Instinct beware”, personally we do not think these mobile phones have anything to worry about.
The LG Dare is a very good mobile phone indeed with a 3.2-megapixel camera and high-quality video recording, it has a pretty big 3-inch, 240-by-400, 262k-color touchscreen, you must all remember that the LG Dare is not trying to be a smartphone because it is NOT a smartphone, it is running on a modified OS that is similar to Verizon’s LG Voyager. The main feature and of course the main selling point for the Dare is the camera we would have to say and according to Verizon, the Dare records 640-by-480 video at up to 120 frames per second, which is something special in the U.S, a cool 3.2-megapixel camera with a Schneider-Kreuznach lens. The Dare has the same accelerometer like the iPhone which changes the orientation of the display when you tilt the phone, and is finger friendly thanks to the UI, you must all remember that the touchscreen is NOT multi-touch but is still pretty responsive.
The LG Dare is a cool 3G phone that should be strongly considered and is on the Verizon’s EVDO network, it offers cool features such as GPS, SMS, MMS, Verizon’s new Mobile E-mail client, stereo and Bluetooth support plus streams videos from Verizon’s V CAST service. There is a slight downside however and that is the browser, it is pretty mediocre on the grand scale of things considering many phones have very good web browsers, the LG Dare web browser is relatively slow to render pages.
Anyway you can learn more over at Verizon Wireless where they have it on sale right now for $199.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate and two-year contract, yes we know that is the same price as the Apple iPhone 3G, but it is $70 more than Sprint’s Instinct. You can buy one right now on Verizon Wireless
