The new Commuter Series products are a continuation of great tradition and excellent protection that you have come to know and love from Otterbox.

Durability: OtterBox Commuter cases originate from the semi-rugged Defender Series and the skin-like Impact Series lines. They’ve essentially reversed the Defender Series design and added highlights from the Impact Series to incorporate (3) slender, yet sturdy, layers of protection. If this case is anything, it’s definitely durable.

Design/Functionality: As I said before, the new Commuter series cases are similar to past OtterBox designs. This newest offering looks to be a mid-range cross between the Defender and the Impact cases with a mix of hard shell and soft silicone based insert. The design is simple yet effective. The BlackBerry Storm 9530 screen, buttons, and controls remain completely functional and silicone plugs allow access to ports. With a smooth outer layer, it easily slides into your pocket or purse, keeping your BlackBerry Storm 9530 covered and protected.
