Fommy Product Review:
Is your BlackBerry constantly running out of juice right when you need it? Getting an extra battery and the Mini External Battery Charger will save you a lot of time and frustration.
First of all, this charger is only compatible with the standard D-X1, so no extended, big, 3rd party batteries are compatible. To use it, simply insert your battery, close the hatch and plug it in using the standard Micro USB charger packaged with your phone (it doesn't come with one unfortunately) or any other MicroUSB cable. In addition, it does have a small LED light to ensure you that is working. Obviously, the real point of this product is to charge a second, backup battery so you'll always have a fully charged one at the ready with a quick swap.
My only complaint with this accessory is that is feels very, well, cheap, and it's plastic finish apparently goes all the way through, very odd considering how sturdy most RIM products typically are. Regardless, it works and it does it's job perfectly and it does it in a very small, convenient package; I wouldn't treat it too roughly though.
