Everyone knows that smartphones nowadays drain your battery life quickly. There are a couple of options to combat this problem. One thing you can do is constantly keep charging your phone (at home, at work, in the car, etc) but some people say this will only make your battery more dependent on the power and hence, work less effectively. The other option is, of course, to use your phone less (just kidding!). Obviously, that's not an option is it?

There's also another solution on the market. Thanks to several after-market accessories manufacturers, there are extended batteries available on the market for smartphones.

Such is the case with this product for the T-Mobile G1/HTC Dream Android phone. This is actually a slim extended battery, so it won't make your device any more heavier or bulkier.

First of all, I have to be honest. It's been hard to keep this product in stock. And for good reason. It's a hot item that serves a need very well. The need for power that is.

I've had my G1 for about 5 months now and I tried this battery in my phone. I can honestly say that I was happy from the very first day. My phone's battery did not start dying out by 5pm, like what normally happens with the standard OEM battery. This time, my phone lasted well through the evening and night till I went to bed.

I was able to text, check and send emails, and even browse the web and play around with some apps, without having to run to my charger.

Plus, the price is pretty decent. I've seen extended batteries run for about double the price. Also, I do like the fact that this one isn't one of those bulky extended batteries. Yes, they do give you even more juice than this extended battery but they also give you extra bulk which I am not willing to carry around.

All in all, I think this is a great product for the price and performed the function of extending your phone's battery life well.
